LaraX ~ Constantly tweaking Fitting

While there is alot of demand for LaraX mesh clothing fits it's something that is always needing constant tweaking for the best fitting.  There is kind of this love hate relationship with maitreya.  It has been one of the most popular mesh bodies in secondlife for a long time but in part they owe their popularity to the multitude of creators making clothing for this body.  This was not because dev kits were handed out easily.  The truth was more than half of the creators making for Maitreya were using knock off dev kits.  While the knock off was not the best for producing the best fit, it was close enough that most users of the products didn't know or couldn't tell the difference between a creator using a knock off or one using an official kit.  While some creators had no trouble at all requesting and getting these kits others could never seem to get them as decisions on who to share the kit with was very subjective.

I won't go into the details of how mesh body creators can protect their creations from theft even when sharing dev kits,  I will simply say there are enough ways to keep honest people honest that holding out from other creators does not exactly promote your product more.  It does the opposite by hindering it growth.  I believe you will start to see this with the development and release of the new LaraX body.  I am sure I will probably get some hate mail on this blog post but it does not make it any less true.  Unfortunately, some constructive criticism that might help creators avoid the pit fall of shooting themselves in their own foot isn't always taken to well.

Now I bring this up because I do have a few items in my store modified to fit LaraX. However, until I am able to get an official dev kit (which will likely be next to never depending on the disposition of those reading this post)  I will be forever tweaking these items for their shape and weight paints to get them as close as possible to a good fit.

You might be asking yourself why I add them to my store at all if I can't get the best fit for them.  The answer to this is because some individuals I am friends with requested them even though the fit might not be 100% spot on.

The other point that I want to make is that many of those purchasing items now days do not pay the same curtesy they expect from others.  I've always been willing to make adjustments to an item that should have fit your body but didn't due to some shape or animation situation causing peek through.    All anyone ever needed to do was get in touch with me in world, through a notecard or by discord.  But today's generation of the digital age has produced poor social habits and so instead of reaching out to a creator who would be willing to fix things up for you.  we have a lot of people doing directly to the review and giving one star and a poor review.  Many times, these poor reviews are not even earned or justified, especially when the review is due to the lack of a customer reading the details or description given. There are demo versions available to try for fitting.  yes, they are timed, but this isn't preventing you from getting another.  demo versions are not meant for extended wear.  you're not renting the product!  So complaints about the time restriction on the demo version are invalid. Just to grab another one.  but please please please... talk to me if your having trouble with a fitting.  I assure you,  it's not the end of the world.  we can work on it together.  Just be aware that the LaraX fittings could require some tweaking, and I am always tweaking when I see issues.  not just on LaraX  but other fits as well.
